    Hi there,

We’re sorry if you are having issues on importing demo contents. Others having the same issue just import several times to make it work. As it was stated also in the documentation, before demo content import, you should consider these reminders:

    • Before importing demo contents, be sure you have a fast server having a proper credentials to avoid issues. There are some instances that you cannot import demo contents due to server issues, your hosting limitations, etc. which the theme is not responsible for it.
    • You should use one click demo import from a fresh WordPress installed site to avoid duplication and other issues.
    • You have to execute the demo import once to avoid duplication issues, unless there is an error (e.g. Error 500) or it doesn’t import on the first time.
    • There are times you need to re-save Slider Revolution widget if the site doesn’t load due to import issues.
    • Maps won’t connect to Google API by default. Therefore, you should set it up first or after demo import (see instruction on 3.13 Add Google Maps API Key).
    • For WooCommerce and other plugin, you need to configure some settings individually.

Please be reminded that Demo Import plugin is not created by us and the theme is not responsible with it, but the plugin author. As it was stated in the support policy, external plugin issues is not under the scope of support. However, we do our best to resolve issues with regards to it. This link might be useful to resolve your issue: https://github.com/proteusthemes/one-click-demo-import/blob/master/docs/import-problems.md. You can also provide your login credentials at steve.probewise@gmail.com, and we’ll try to resolve your issue.

    Regards,

Please be reminded that #Home – Map Location is included in our theme (it is our created widget) while on the event section of the site, it is under the external plugin which is Church Theme Content plugin (it is not from us). So, if you have a critical issues regarding the plugin, you can contact directly the plugin author. However, we do our best to resolve issues with regards to it. As it was stated on your issue, if you have a proper credentials on Google Maps API, it should work, and there are times that API will not work immediately, but it’ll work in 5 minutes or more. Looking at your site, it is working well.

Did you modify the theme directly from WordPress editor? If you have modified the parent theme especially in WordPress editor, the theme might break, for example, the font icons. To fix this, you should re-install the theme. If you need to modify theme’s CSS, use a child theme.

Remember: The safest way to edit a theme is using a child theme. For more information about child themes, visit WordPress.org.

As it was stated in this topic and to the other topic related to this, Google API is not connecting well using your key you’ve created giving you an error message on API:

The Google Maps API server rejected your request. This API project is not authorized to use this API. Please ensure this API is activated in the Google Developers Console: https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/static_maps_backend?project=_

You should consider these factors (posted in other topic related to this):

    • Confirm the API Key you copied and pasted is correct.
    • Make sure your domain name matches the one you’ve registered with the API Key. A slight misspelling will prevent the maps to work.
    • Make sure your Google Maps JavaScript API and Google Static Maps API is enabled on your API project. You can check if the API is enabled from Library Google Maps APIs. If it is disabled, the dashboard will not show analytics and the button on the top shows Enable, which you should click Enable to enable it.

Check out our articles about How to Get Google Maps JavaScript API Key.

Others with the same problem created new keys with proper credentials until it works.

We’ve checked your site. If you set it “This Week,” it will show posts created this week. If you set it “This Month,” it will show posts created this month. If you set it “This Year,” it will show posts created on this year (2017). If you set it “All Time,” it will show posts created from the beginning. Looking at fossil horse post, it was created October 2016 which excludes if you set it as “This Year,” unless you edit the post to be created as year 2017. Popular posts is shown based on number of visitors visited stored in the database at the time you’ve install Wise Mag theme (it has its own counter). You can also modify the number of views on each post if you feel that the post you want must be on top 5. Here’s how:

    1. Go to your desired post backend, for example this post: Ice Age Cave Dwellers in Oregon Lived Among Extinct ‘Stout-Legged’ Horses, Fossils Show.”
    2. On the top right part of the Edit Post section, click Screen Options, and check Custom Fields. You’ll see some values, and our theme shows the number of views on this field: wise_post_views_count.
    3. You can now modify the number of views to be shown on Most Popular widget.

Remember: Visitor count on this theme is based on number of visit on each post which is stored in the database.

We’re sorry, I thought you are pertaining with menus, but it is #Home – Layout Block Tab. Those tabs shows posts or pages based on categories. You might need to create news, blog, galleries and ministries categories to be shown on #Home – Layout Block Tab widget. In the documentation, you can find instructions on how to create ministries and galleries archive on section 3.7 Creating Ministries and Galleries Page. Once you’ve created archive categories, having contents each, you can select a category on each tab from #Home – Layout Tab widget.

Have you imported the demo site? Part of the menu might have not imported fully. Go to Appearance => Menus. Check if the menus exists without an error, then re-save it.

Sorry for the delayed response. We’re doing our best to improve the theme with the latest patch and update. Old widgets will be deprecated. It will be replaced with an improved one. The new widgets #Wise Popular Posts, #Tab Posts, #Wise Recent Posts has been added to your site which fixes the issue. Please be reminded that popular posts is based on number of views on its ranking.

I’ve visited your site and it is working. It might be some widget you’ve placed which causes the issue.
